Josh has always had a passion for theatre and started performing with Inspirations Theatre Company when he was 11. He had the privileged of performing in both principle and choral roles for many well known and new musical productions and concerts. Josh has always followed musical theatre trends and makes regular trips to the west end to see new and innovative shows, as well as established pieces which help him in his direction and production of shows.
In 2012 Josh left Inspirations to set up his own singing group 'StageCrafts' which has been going from strength to strength performing in many venues across Chesterfield and Sheffield. He has directed and produced over 12 shows since 2015 including joint collaborations with other local groups like HSU Drama (Sheffield Hallam University) which Josh is an alumni of.
Josh has recently completed a teaching course to aid in his instruction of pupils and he, along with all other helpers at the group, are fully DBS checked.
Josh wishes to keep alive the main principles of the group which Dot has instilled in pupils for decades but wants to bring a re-imagined approach to keep the company fresh, fun and exiting for all those involved.
Dot started singing with a Jazz Band when she was 18, and worked with people such as The Gumbleweeds, Bernard Manning, The Krankies, Tony Christie and many more. Her first taste of amateur dramatics came in Essex at a group called The Chameleons which was directed by artists from RADA. In 1979 Dot become involved with Bolsover Drama Group leading to being a director and performer. Young Inspirations Theatre Company was born after Dot won best chorus for 'Big Al' compelling her to work with young people in musical theatre.
